The Machine for Getting Off the Earth is an episode from the 2005 series.
Story[]
It snows, and Nobita doesn't dare to ski with his friends because he can't ski. For this reason, Doraemon takes out the "Machine for Getting Off the Earth" and shows it to Nobita with a desk.
Nobita puts the "Machine for Getting Off the Earth" in his pocket and goes to the open lot to start skiing. Since the snow slope of the open lot faces east, Nobita can only "reverse slide" from bottom to top, and everyone is surprised to see it. Doraemon advises Nobita not to rely on gadget, otherwise he will not be able to learn to ski, but Nobita disagrees.
Nobita skates for 5 hours and walks home happily, but due to overuse, the gadget knob becomes loose, causing Nobita to slide westward. Nobita has to stick to the wall to go home, but when he passes the intersection, he os frightened by the dog, causing him to slide along the road. Nobita encounters Shizuka while sliding westward along the road, pulls Shizuka's skirt, is kicked by Shizuka, knocks down the box of the roadside worker, and slides away in the box. Later, Doraemon asks Shizuka and learns about Nobita's whereabouts. Nobita is sliding westward along the road in the fields. When Doraemon is about to tell him the solution, he accidentally hits a road sign. Nobita crosses the snow-capped mountain and lake all the way. Doraemon tries to tell Nobita the solution through any door, but Nobita slips too fast to speak. Doraemon tries to grab Nobita with a rope, but is taken away by Nobita and eats a mouthful of snow.
In the end, Nobita slides all the way to the beach, when Doraemon finally uses Voice Thickener to catch up with Nobita (Nobita's speed is close to the speed of sound at this time) and tells him to take off his pants. In the end, Nobita has to listen to Doraemon's suggestion to take off his pants, and the pants flies all the way west to the sky over Japan.
