- The gadget is based on the Japanese legend about Urashima Taro, who is a fisherman that rescues a turtle and is rewarded for this with a visit to Ryūgū-jō, the palace of Ryūjin, the Dragon God, under the sea. After three days of stay, when he returns he finds himself 300 years in the future.
- This story reappears in the episode Eight Days in the Palace of the Dragon King.
- This is one of the gadgets in the Hindi dub that kept its original name.
