The Gouda Family is the family of Gian and consists of Gian, Gian's mother, Gian's father and Jaiko.

Gian

He is recognized by his large build (might partly be contributed by obesity), as well as his mean, selfish and violent behavior. He "rules" the neighborhood with force, often to the physical expense of other children, especially Nobita, who often resorts to asking Doraemon for gadgets to get even on him. In addition, he has a tendency to rob things from other children, usually Suneo, who offers himself to be Gian's sidekick in most occasions.

Gian's mother

Mrs. Gouda (ジャイアンの母 Gian's mother) is the mother of Takeshi (Gian) and Jaiko. She's the owner of a small but successful shop, as well as the only person that Gian is deathly afraid of. Her constant abuse punishment suggests that Gian may have inherited his mother or ancestor's bullish trait. She mostly remains angry with Gian, but is affectionate to everyone, especially Nobita. She is the owner of a grocery shop.

In many episodes, it is seen that Mrs. Gouda has given Gian the responsibility of taking care of the shop, but Gian goes to play with his friends or read comic books, even bullies someone, which angers Mrs. Gouda a lot. However, in a rare case that Gian look after the store like he was told, Mrs. Gouda will be very happy and may even reward him for his effort.

Gian's father

Gian and Jaiko's Father is a big-sized man with a crewcut.

Jaiko

Jaiko is Gian's younger sister, who would have been Nobita's wife in the future had Doraemon not intervened. She appears in the very first chapter of the manga, even before the introduction of Gian. Her name Jaiko is usually considered a nickname, but Fujiko never gave her a real name.

An aspiring mangaka, Jaiko goes by her amateur Mangaka mangakastyle pen name Christine Goda (クリスチーネ 剛田 Kurisuchīne Gōda), and sometimes submits her manga to publishing companies for prizes. She mostly fails in these contest because her storytelling is still rough. After that when she decides to give up writing comic books, Gian's friends are asked/forced to cheer her up. She has a crush on Motayo Moto,a seventh grader in the school. She is sometimes referred to as Hana.
