Oh, Lovely Mii-chan! (すてきなミイちゃん Sutekina Mīchan) is an episode from the Doraemon 1979 anime. This is the first anime adaptation of the manga chapter of the same name.

Plot

Doraemon reveals to Nobita that he has fell in love with a female cat. Nobita decides to help him to make friends with the female cat, which turns out to be a sleeping toy cat with a console attached to it. Doraemon picks up courage to confess his love to the toy cat, Mii-chan, who "agrees" to the friendship. However, Mii Chan's owner sees Doraemon "stealing" his toy cat and tells his father, who takes it away from Doraemon.

Doraemon persuades the father to give Mii-chan back to him. The father tells the mother to inform Nobita to bring Doraemon home. Just then, a dog has snatched Mii-chan away from the boy and Doraemon rushes to rescue Mii-chan. Nobita and the father witness Doraemon defeat the dog. Seeing that Doraemon really cares for Mii-chan, the father decides to give it to him.

Back home, Doraemon proceeds to feed Mii-chan with an automatic feeding device he has installed, and decides to install more automatic devices on Mii-chan to make it a real robot cat and be Doraemon's wife. However, in the moment of truth, Mii-chan reveals "herself" to be a male, runs out of the house and dates another female cat, leaving Doraemon heartbroken.

Plot
