Substitution Rope (入れかえロープ Irekae Rōpu) or Switching Rope is a gadget that used to swapping the body.
Function[]
if there are two people holds one of the ends of this rope at the same time, their spirits will stay the same, only the bodies will be swapped. However in Stand by Me 2, this gadget has a fatal design flaw, which is that if a person does not return to their original body within 1 hour their memories will be wiped out, along with them passing out. The Substitution Rope was many times used by Doraemon, Nobita and other Tama Friends:

- The Substitution Rope is voiced by Shinichi Hatori in Stand by Me Doraemon 2 film.
- There is a similar gadget named Substitution Bar that appeared in I'm Mari-chan.
- The gadget's victims do not swap bodies in Doraemon Wii: Secret Tool King Tournament.
